Former Glee On Fox star Jake Zyrus bravely came out as transgender to his fans on social media earlier this year.
In June 2017, Jake officially changed his name. Jake, formerly known as Charice and best recognized as playing Sunshine Corazon on “Glee”, is coming out and sharing his happiness for embracing who he really is in the public eye.
After fans shared their enthusiastic support for the Fillipino singer, Jake shared an Instagram post that simply said “Thank you”, captioning it QUOTE, “From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the love and respect. I love you back and I’m sending peace to everyone.”
One supportive fan replied QUOTE, "Happy to see u living your story and your truth", while another added QUOTE, “So proud of you for being true to who you are”.
All previous social media posts from the singer under the Charice name were deleted, marking a fresh start for Jake.
