Philly Pride is this Sunday, June 9th and we need your help to represent Jersey Gay Pride!
Parade marchers are requested to meet up between 10:00AM -11:00AM on Sunday at Woody's (202 S 13th St.) to gather, find our parade location and then march with Jersey Gay Pride in the Philly Pride Parade.
The parade kicks off at 11:00AM and marches through the Gayborhood in Center City to Penn’s Landing, arriving there at about 12:30PM. The parade route is approximately 1.3 miles and moves at a slow pace. Families with small children should plan to wear their little ones or use strollers. Feel free to ride bikes, trikes, scooters, skateboards, etc. dripping in rainbow!
We will have bottled water, but please bring plenty to drink and snacks for those mid morning cravings.
During this year’s parade, we are revealing our new bully-free zone swag bags filled with pride accessories for all marchers, while supplies last. To RSVP for the parade, please email snjgaypride@gmail.com or simply reply to this email.
Other volunteer opportunities include representing Jersey Gay Pride at the Philly Pride Festival at Penn’s Landing. Philly Pride is graciously again, sponsoring the bully-free pride zone during the Pride Festival as a place for NJ LGBTQA+ to stop by and obtain resources. The Festival opens at 12:00PM and wraps up around 5:30PM. Those who are volunteering at our vendor station will receive a wristband to enter the festival for free or will have their admission reimbursed. Festival admission is $15/adult. Kids are free.
